Teknologisk Videndeling ATV-SEMAPP er en selvejende, almennyttig institution tilknyttet Akademiet for de Tekniske Videnskaber. I dag er der ca. 350 medlemmer fordelt på virksomhedsmedlemmer og personlige medlemmer samt personer, som er ansat hos virksomhedsmedlemmerne og noteret på en af vores postlister. Selskabets styregrupper og udvalg danner inderkredsen i det faglige netværk, som har tråde ud i en lang række danske virksomheder, institutter, universiteter, foreninger og andre kompetencecentre i ind- og udland. Du vil indgå i vores Electronics faggruppe og i instituttets ledelsessekretariat. I dit daglige arbejde vil der være stort fokus på hjemmesideopdatering, da DTU overgår til nyt hjemmeside set up den 30. maj 2013. I ledelsessekretariatet vil der udover hjemmeside-opdatering ligeledes være opgaver inden for journalisering, koordinerende opgaver og forefaldende kontorarbejde. Jobbet kræver gå-på mod, systematik og sans for detaljen.

Typiske arbejdsopgaver vil være:

• Lægge tekst og billeder ind på den nye hjemmeside
• Skrive og redigere tekster
• Udvælge og beskære billeder
• Elektronisk Sags- og Dokumenthåndtering

The National Food Institute, Technical university of Denmark (DTU Food) operates within five technical focus areas: Nutrition, food quality, food safety, food technology and environment & health – all key elements to public health and food production.

At DTU Food’s Division for Food Microbiology, we are currently looking for two PhD degree students with interest in intestinal microbiology.

Scholarship I is affiliated to the Center for GUT, GRAIN & GREENS, www.3G-center.dk, which was recently funded by the Danish Strategic Research Council. The focus of this Center is to address the effects of grain/fibre-based diets on the gut microbiota and risk factors for metabolic diseases including diabetes and cardiovascular disorders. The primary task of the student will be to address the effect of dietary interventions in humans on the resulting intestinal microbiota by use of metagenomics and bioinformatics.

Scolarship II is affiliated to the project ProbiComp, also financed by DSF.

The Cellular Signal Integration Group (C-SIG), http://www.lindinglab.org, is a network biology research group located at the Department of Systems Biology at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Our department represents one of the largest network biology centers in academia and provides a highly multi-disciplinary profile. Our lab explores biological systems by both generating high-throughput data and developing algorithms aimed at predicting cell behavior with accuracy similar to those of weather or aircraft models. A major focus of our lab is studying cellular signal processing and decision-making during cancer progression.

Job description
A PhD position is available in the Linding lab. Prof Dr Linding is a world-leading network biologist and his group is interested in the mechanisms by whi¬ch cells use signaling networks to respond and adapt to changes in their environment. We are seeking a highly motivated and brilliant PhD student to join our highly dynamic, productive and stimulating lab.

Two 3-year PhD scholarships in the fields of organic synthesis and chemical biology under the supervision of Associate Professor Thomas E. Nielsen are available, starting anytime between now and September 1st, 2013, in the Department of Chemistry, DTU.

The proposed research activities seek to develop:

1) Systematic methods for the solid-supported synthesis of biologically active molecules and develop novel screening technologies that integrate combinatorial library synthesis with phenotypic and biochemical screening. Molecular interactions between supported compounds and cell surface receptors and other proteins may be examined with the goal of identifying new bioactive compounds, including GPCR agonists and antagonists, anticancer and antimicrobial agents.

2) Systematic methods for the solid-supported synthesis of catalytically active molecules and develop novel screening technologies that integrate combinatorial library synthesis with catalyst discovery. Both organocatalysts and ligands for metals will be investigated with the goal of identifying new and more selective organic transformations.

The Department of Environmental Engineering is looking for 3 PhD students for an international and cross-disciplinary research project (LaGas), with the objective to untangle the mystery behind biological production and consumption of N2O in waste water treatment operations. Laughing gas (N2O) is a greenhouse gas 300 times stronger than CO2 and a dominant ozone destroying chemical. Biological processes - the same that are essential for removing polluting reactive nitrogen from wastewaters - are potential sources of N2O.

Positions at the Technical University of Denmark are available on the topics:

PhD 1: Development and implementation of a novel whole-plant quantification tool to estimate GHG emissions based on gas plume measurements. The student will use a very promising gas plume method to measure downwind N2O gas concentrations using a dynamic sampling approach.

DTU Chemistry at the Technical University of Denmark invites applications for a position as professor in Chemical Biology.

DTU Chemistry is a department with the overall mission of contributing to research, development and education within the following scientific areas: Advanced and Applied Chemistry with strong activities in Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry.

The professor will be attached to the section for Organic Chemistry, one of the three areas comprising the Department which employs 140 persons including presently a faculty of 27. The professor is expected to interact closely with the other faculty members in Organic Chemistry, as well as faculty from other DTU departments and other universities.
