BI System Consultant
Are you dedicated to technical support and development of business intelligence (BI) systems? And does the idea of taking the Danfoss BI platform to the next level appeal to you? Then you could be the BI System Consultant we are looking for in our BI Solutions department in Sønderborg. You will play a central role in developing a system that provides our managers globally with structured and reliable information to support decision-making and performance management. Currently, the department employs 14 people worldwide, dedicated to continuous support, development and improvement of our BI system.
Support, maintenance and development of the future BI platform
Reporting to the Director of BI Solutions, your overall mission will be to make our future BI platform in Danfoss flexible, scalable and robust, using best practice within SAP Business Warehouse (BW) development. With your exhaustive experience with SAP BW, you will play a key role in our Global BI Transformation Programme, delivering SAP BW back-end solutions, and provide second line support and technical assistance to internal teams and users. Specifically, your daily tasks will be to:
- Support the BI Business Partners making requirement specifications
- Work from functional/business requirements to design and develop data sources
- Work from functional/business requirements to design and develop BW objects, e.g. information objects, information sources, data targets, transfer rules and update rules
- Provide support and maintenance of the existing BW environments (development, quality assurance and production)
Technical background and BI systems acumen
You hold a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree – preferably within Computer Science. You have solid working experience with SAP BW and in addition basic experience with project management. Your English skills are strong and you are able to make your talent count in a global context. On a more personal level, you are a self-driven, service-minded team player with good analytical capabilities. You have a structured approach to your work and take responsibility.
