The projects range from single machines to various types of tailor-made upgrades. Our projects are typically driven by our customers' needs for increased capacity, lower energy consumption, increased run factor or environmental constraints. Our department is located in Valby, Denmark, and we are an important growth area in the FLSmidth Group. Right now, we are looking for an additional Sales Manager to help us drive the sales in the projects business.
Propose and sell upgrade solutions to cement customers globally
You will have responsibility for proposing and selling various upgrade solutions as well as single machines to cement customers worldwide. With our guidance and support and your hard work, you will travel the world providing a wide range of upgrade projects for existing cement plants worldwide. To provide relevant support and service, you:
- enter into cooperation with our customers and ensure that our proposals meet their needs – every single time
- keep following the projects throughout the project lifecycle and proactively point to optimisations that can improve our customer service further
You will also collaborate with other business units within the global organisation. You will report to the Department Manager, and visiting our customers on site, you can expect 60 to 90 travel days a year.
Solid project sales experience and customer insight
You have a degree within engineering, related natural science, business economics or similar combined with substantial experience, preferably from the cement industry or similar. Through your career you have built up your own solid project sales track record and ideally good knowledge of construction and engineering machinery. As a true FLSmidth ambassador you have a superior ability to see the solutions from the customer’s point of view and the communication skills to sell in to customers across cultures and geography. You possess the ability to build and maintain close relations and the potential to become a trusted advisor. Moreover, you have a high level of drive, are outgoing and proactive and have a global mind-set. Handling several processes concurrently without losing track of a single one is natural. Besides proficiency in English, you preferably have fluency in an additional main language.
