In the department you will have 20 highly dedicated colleagues in a dynamic, international work environment based at our headquarters in Valby, Denmark. We are responsible for project sales, project management and customer services relating to air pollution control equipment and plants in the Russian & CIS, European, Middle Eastern and African markets.
High-level international client management
As Area Sales Manager your objective is to meet the agreed sales budgets. The contract scope for individual projects is normally between 2-50 million DKK. In our line of business this can only happen through superb client management – building long-lasting relations with clients who come from extremely different educational, cultural and geographical backgrounds. Your success will depend on your ability to acquire comprehensive knowledge of market activities in your territories of responsibility, which will be Russia & CIS. Specifically, you will
- achieve in-depth understanding of the project requirements and the clients’ buying preferences through market research, local and internal connections and client visits
- prepare comprehensive technical and commercial proposals
- present and negotiate our solutions and proposals - technical as well as commercial - with clients
You will work closely together with our Marketing Manager currently stationed at the FLSmidth office in Moscow, as well as the rest of our global organisation.
Russian-speaking Engineer with international sales experience
Your background is a degree in engineering backed by at least 3-5 years’ experience from international project sales of industrial equipment and/or plants. You are open-minded, curious and possess a positive attitude that enables you to build good relations with all kinds of people. You are energetic and able to set and reach ambitious goals – and as part of this to motivate, inspire and lead teams of colleagues. In order to get the right technical solutions and project costs from other departments, you communicate client requirements effectively within the organisation. You are proficient in written and spoken Russian and English, and if you can work in other languages as well, it is only an advantage. Working out of our office in Valby, you must be ready to travel at least 60 to 80 days per year.
